Terms of use

Last updated . High-level boilerplate tailored to crowdsourced benchmarking. Have qualified counsel approve before relying on these terms commercially.

Agreement & service

By browsing or interacting with Ratefeed at https://ratefeed.co.uk you confirm you accept these Terms to the fullest extent permissible by law where you reside. Ratefeed aggregates anonymous submissions from tradespeople to provide indicative pricing context; it does not constitute professional, financial, or legal advice about what you must charge any particular customer.

Submissions & conduct

When you voluntarily submit anonymised pricing data you warrant that input is truthful to the best of your knowledge (subject to subjective memory) and that you are authorised to disclose the amounts you entered. Automated abuse, spoofing competitor rates, scraping that degrades availability, unlawful content, attempts to circumvent rate limiting, or use that compromises others’ enjoyment of the Service are prohibited.

Each submission constitutes a gratuitous licence to host, analyse, summarise, derive statistics from, publicly display excerpts, and sublicense those rights to processors operating the Site on our behalf for as long as the Service exists (plus reasonable archival tails for integrity). You retain moral rights only to the narrow extent mandated by compulsory law. No compensation is owing for ordinary publication.

Accuracy disclaimer

Data relies on honesty and completeness of contributors. Figures may lag the market or omit nuances (job scope, urgency, VAT, extras). Charts, aggregates, summaries, illustrative content, and all other materials on Ratefeed are provided strictly “AS IS”. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for trade pricing decisions, and non-infringement to the widest extent permissible.

Liability

Except where UK law forbids exclusions or caps, Ratefeed’s operators disclaim liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site, downtime, reliance on benchmarks, or inaccuracy of crowdsourced submissions. Aggregate liability arising from these Terms or your use of Ratefeed shall not exceed £50 GBP in total within any twelve-month period. Mandatory consumer protections (including rights that cannot legally be waived) still apply where they apply.

Changes & law

We may update these Terms materially with a revised publication date above. Continuing use after conspicuous posting ordinarily equals acceptance alongside any separate cookie controls. Disputes that cannot be negotiated in good faith are subject to England & Wales law and non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts there (consumer mandatory rights reserved).
